The Water Garden Club of BC was designed for people who wish
to have a water garden feature in their backyard, and want help and ideas on how to implement it.
Our club has monthly meetings which are held at the Kennedy
Senior Recreation Center - 11760 88 Ave, Delta on the first Wednesday
of each month at 7:30PM, with the exceptions of January, July, and August.
The January meeting is replaced with the annual post-Christmas brunch.
The August meeting is replaced by the annual club summer picnic. July
is usually too busy with summer pond tours to have a meeting.
We have these meetings to discuss all the different aspects of water gardening, such as:
- basic construction
- filtration
- water flow
- planting
- stocking, and of course
- fish health and pest control
In each meeting we have a general question period allows members to share problems and solutions, and draw on the
experiences of the region's most noted professionals.
Once you become a member, you have access to many advantages, such as:
- Our monthly newsletter "The Ripple", with timely articles and notice of special events and activties.
- Knowledge and tips shared from experts within the club and guest speakers at each monthly meeting.
- Exclusive use of an extensive lending library.
- Plant and fish swapping with other club members.
- Annual Tailgate Swap & Shop Plant Sale.
- Plant Sale to the public, as a fund raiser, offering plants from members own gardens.
